Carbomer 956 polymer is a white powder, crosslinked polyacrylic acid polymer. Carbomer is produced by polymerization of acrylic acid to form high-molecular weight, cross-linked polymers of acrylic acid (polyacrylic acid). It is an extremely efficientrheology modifier capable of providing high viscosity and forms sparkling clear gels or hydro-alcoholic gels and creams.

Typical use level 0.1-0.5% depending on the type of formulation desired viscosity. Carbomer must be thoroughly mixed and hydrated.
